نظريو ڪن منظم خيالن، تجربن، مشاهدن ۽ تجزين جو نچوڙ هوندو آهي. نظريا سياست کان وٺي ادب تائين مروج آهن. مثال طور سنڌي ٻوليءَ جي اصليت بابت ڊاڪٽر بلوچ (1917-2011ع)جو نظريو يا سراج ميمڻ (1933-2013ع) جو نظريو وغيره. نظريا ادبي به هوندا آهن, ٻوليائي به ته سماجي به آهن. نظرين جو واسطو فلسفي ۽ معاشيات سان به هوندو آهي. اديب ڪڏهن ادبي تحرير ذريعي ڪنهن سچائيءَ جو اعتراف ڪري ٿو، ڪڏهن معاشري يا انسان کي وسريل قدرن جي ياد ڏياري ٿو، ڪڏهن ڪو پيغام ڏيڻ چاهيندو آهي، ڪڏهن ماڻهن کي تفريح مهيا ڪندو آهي ته ڪڏهن جمالياتي حسن جو فن ذريعي اظهار ڪندو آهي. اهو سڀ ڪجهه هو پنهنجي مخصوص خيال يا نظريي مطابق ڪندو آهي. نظرين ذريعي سچائي، قدرن، تفريح، جماليات وغيره جي ڄاڻ ملي ٿي.
